#3 of 17 in Parks in Abu Dhabi
Meet the furry, feathered, and friendly inhabitants of Emirates Park Zoo, a city zoo housing over 1,700 animals--including incredibly rare white tigers. Opened in 2008, the zoo introduces visitors to animal behavior and identification by allowing you to pet and feed many of the creatures, from domesticated farm animals to wilder beasts. Pet a parrot, meet an elephant up close, and feed monkey nuts to the monkeys. The zoo brings you closer to animals with many guided experiences, including feeding sessions and bird of prey shows across its ample grounds. • Nice place to spend the morning with your kids. Contains a lot of animals with big variety but it can be much more better than this. Loved it and so did my girl (4 years old).  more »

  • It's a special place to visit, mainly if you are with kids. Recently renewed structure. Children and adults can feed animals, what is nice. I didn't like the fact that schools fild trips are not allowed to visit lion, tiger, elephant areas, that the children like more and are waiting to see.... Divide the visit in different packages should not happen. The French fries of the children package also need improvement.
  • Best place for kids especially the part where they can feed animals. I thought they don't allow food inside to avoid littering however they sell food inside the zoo quite expensive. Nonetheless kids would enjoy their trip to this place.
  • We come back every year for the hotel experience. The new changes to the zoo made our stay even more worth while. Definitely one for the kids.
  • Very well kept zoo. Neat and tidy. Veru helpful staff members and all the enclosures seem to have sufficient space for the animals. There is an extra payment though for shows and other activities. Even feeding the animals is encouraged. Though you havr to buy grass, milk etc. for feeding from the zoo.
  • The resort and zoo are very well kept. Yes, some of the enclosures are a little bit sad, but the animal are in no way neglected. Many of them have been rescued/confiscated. The zoo offers a safe environment for kids to get quite close to different animals. The resort is very basic (no luxury here) but it has everything you need. It is clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and I would go back.

Where to stay in Abu Dhabi

One of the most expensive cities in the world, Abu Dhabi is famous for providing an unparalleled level of luxury. The modern development of Yas Island offers some of the priciest options in the city. Abu Dhabi doesn't really do hostels, but you can find some less expensive hotels in side streets less frequented by foreign visitors. Head away from the sea to find lower rates, or consider the areas south and east of the airport for simple rooms with basic amenities.
