#4 of 11 in Parks in Abu Dhabi
Meet the furry, feathered, and friendly inhabitants of Emirates Park Zoo, a city zoo housing over 1,700 animals--including incredibly rare white tigers. Opened in 2008, the zoo introduces visitors to animal behavior and identification by allowing you to pet and feed many of the creatures, from domesticated farm animals to wilder beasts. Pet a parrot, meet an elephant up close, and feed monkey nuts to the monkeys. The zoo brings you closer to animals with many guided experiences, including feeding sessions and bird of prey shows across its ample grounds. • This is a semi-private zoo, and it has a great variety of animals. Make sure to search because build like a maze, it would be easy to miss a section. Great Staff! I have learned about falcons, owl and...  more »

  • To be honest I thought the zoo would be small but i was surprised of the size and quantity of animals. They seem to be taking good care of their animals unlike many small zoos. I had a chance to stay in their chalets. The one i got was directly facing the zoo where you can clearly see giraffes and zebras. The pool side is also nice but there was some broken stone tiles in the pool which could harm the pool users. In general it a lovely place and i recommend it to all families.
  • This is a very quiet zoo. I think we must have gone during the off peak time which I love so it took us a really short time to go round as it's a tiny zoo. I hate that they allow cats to roam around as I'm both allergic and not fond of them. We got to watch the sea lion show which is an extra charge and thanks to the fact my family were the only ones there, we got to shake hands with them and take pics. It was our very own private show. We enjoyed it but having visited sea world San Diego A LOT of times the show was really basic they didn't do much and were not as well trained. For the price Emirates park zoo is a good stop for the family.
  • Quite empty but a good inexpensive outing for the kids. Not too much to do so a quick 1 or 2 hour max outing. It was so quiet here we got a private show with the sea lions Just my family because I guess no one wanted to pay the extra. They charge extra for the sea lion and elephant show and it's a very short show so probably not worth it I've certainly seen been in sea world Sam Diego. This was very elementary though we did still enjoyed it. We all got to take personal pics shaking hand-fin with the sea lion.
  • Location: a bit far from the city, but not too far. Animals variety: good, and they're always introducing more animals and rescuing more which is nice. Staff: friendly and knowledgeable. Entry fee: reasonable. Great place for adults and families. Gifts hope: good. Some animals can get put in better enclosures. Our kids always have fun there. We have rescued a female fennec fox and they were so generous to adopt her. Cannot wait to see her put with their foxes. Which are already in a nice enclosure.
  • Very nice zoo. No need to walk a lot like other zoos, all attractions are close by. Not airy inside. Do not advisable to visit during summer daytime.

Where to stay in Abu Dhabi

One of the most expensive cities in the world, Abu Dhabi is famous for providing an unparalleled level of luxury. The modern development of Yas Island offers some of the priciest options in the city. Abu Dhabi doesn't really do hostels, but you can find some less expensive hotels in side streets less frequented by foreign visitors. Head away from the sea to find lower rates, or consider the areas south and east of the airport for simple rooms with basic amenities.
