  • We liked this beach: not busy. Spectacular views of the city skyline and across the bay. Reasonable bed hire. Food facilities a bit limited but good toilets and showers. Close to the city centre.  more »
  • Corniche Beach stretches along the Corniche road from the Hilton to Al-Haledzha Al-Arabi, has multiple inputs, there is a free part of the beach, where you can sit on the sand on their towels, there are paid in part with umbrellas and sun beds (10 dirham entrance to the beach and 25 dirham Deckchair and umbrella, 1 dollar = 3.65 dirhams). Weekdays find the beach umbrella and Deckchair can be without problems and on weekends sometimes difficult if came to the beach later, 10-11 hours (weekends local people Friday-Saturday). Buoys fenced space for navigation, it is about 40 meters from the beach, on the site for water transport. The beach is equipped with numerous rescue towers, they literally 50 meters from each other. Paid beach equipped with gazebos, toilets-peredevalkami, shower, exercise bikes, green zone (grass), wood floorings, rubbish bins by types of garbage. The sand is fine, clean beach, was carrying algae, if sometimes trash, mostly from tourists (plastic bottles, skin of fruit, cigarette butts). Gently sloping entrance to the sea, smooth, to no great depth for buoys. All along the beach zone, along the street goes beautiful promenade, there are cafes with small snacks (pizza, romance, sweets, juices, water and ice cream), a bicycle and some equipment.

  • This beach is very large, with wide expanses of sand, but it isn't very scenic by itself. It is extremely flat, and one suspects that the best views are from the water looking back to the cityscape.  more »

Where to stay in Abu Dhabi

One of the most expensive cities in the world, Abu Dhabi is famous for providing an unparalleled level of luxury. The modern development of Yas Island offers some of the priciest options in the city. Abu Dhabi doesn't really do hostels, but you can find some less expensive hotels in side streets less frequented by foreign visitors. Head away from the sea to find lower rates, or consider the areas south and east of the airport for simple rooms with basic amenities.
