  • This is the place, where the Danube flows into the Black Sea. From here begins the countdown of the Danube. This symbolic sign installed on island Midday. They say you can make a wish next to it and it will come true. Here we were brought from Vilkovo on a motorboat. Very beautiful place! Many different birds, exciting plants-wild and untouched nature is (almost)!

  • For several years I am travelling to the Ukraine and this year I focused my attention on Bessarabia and the Danube delta. At all costs wanted to get there and so, with a trip to stages from Kiev led me to Odessa, then to Kurortne (not the Crimean Kurortne) and finally to Vilkovo where I embarked for a cruise on the Danube delta that had as its final landing point on so-called kilometer zero, which is the point where the Danube (in Ukrainian territory , because in reality the delta is shared with Romania) flows on the Black Sea at last the 12 last July I got there. The place, very nice from the landscape point of view, there is nothing special in itself unless the berth for boats which gives access to the metal monument symbolizing the kilometer zero, where you should go make a wish. It is worth getting there to admire the spectacle of nature and of the many birds that inhabit this area virtually uninhabited.

  • The delta of the Danube, the longest river in Europe that runs through 10 countries and which is thrown by a broad delta in the Black Sea, between the Romania and the Ukraine. Few foreign tourists are venturing into the side Ukrainian, the roads are really bad not to say dismal, one wonders what made 'the Euro - Maidan' Government to improve this road coming from Odessa and that takes forever. Vilkovo is a quiville city doesn't look; We rarely see the Danube, but u ntour in 3 hour boat is justified, some houses along the canals, then guess wider until the ultimate giant river mouth; Wild Europe populated by birds the most various including pelicans so curious, almost ungainly. As operator avoid Pelican towers that make up the price if you're foreign that for the benefit of small boat operators. We paid 35 Euros the ballade in boat private 3 hour
