Sofiyivka Park, Uman
(4.8/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
Featuring forests, lakes, and artistically landscaped paths, Sofiyivka Park represents a vast botanical garden and a recreational site that sees some half a million visitors annually. Founded in 1796, its original purpose was to depict events from Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. You can expect to encounter grottos and wildlife here, as well as ornamental fountains, gazebos, and food stands. Walkways showcase a total of 2,000 different local and exotic plants. Various activities also happen here, such as romantic lake cruises and games for children, depending on the season. The park stretches across a 156 hectare (385 acre) area, so there's plenty to do and see here.
  • Went recently to relax with family, more fascinating places not found)) walk in the Park is not tiring, perfect for hanging out with the family! On weekends, many people can be, despite the huge crowds outside the territory of the Park. There is a possibility to buy a snack, as well as souvenirs for every taste. The beauty of nature does not pass, to see with my own eyes!)
