Primorsky Boulevard, Odessa
(4.8/5 based on 440+ reviews on the web)
Go native with a stroll along Primorsky Boulevard, a favorite street among the locals. The boulevard's charming setting draws visitors with its street performers and numerous historical buildings. Located on a steep shoreline, this central area stretches a mere 500 m (1,640 ft), but its entire length represents the city's vibrant culture and history. Wherever you look you'll see old classicist buildings adorned with colonnades, cannons pointing at the sea as a reminder of battles, and statues of prominent historical figures, such as the Duke of Richelieu and Alexander Pushkin. Visit the marina to see yachts and sailboats. Don't miss the ruins of a Greek settlement here, dating back to the 6th century BCE. Make Primorsky Boulevard a centerpiece of your Odessa vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Odessa holiday planner.

  • Vacationing in August 2016 year. Every day walked across the Primorsky Boulevard every day. Great place. And how beautiful it was on independence day. It is a tale

  • I walked along this avenue very characteristic during a weekend in November, the palaces and the buildings around are all different, unfortunately some are almost abandoned. Definitely summer stroll in the shade of the trees makes a different effect than a cold and rainy day in November but at least I could appreciate this avenue without the crowds and confusion that's in summer.

  • Primorsky Boulevard is the heart of Odessa, on it you can walk endlessly, watching the sea and enjoying life. In the evening, all the lights are lit and the Boulevard is filled with magic and magic. I want to just surf the night away and feel this atmosphere.
