  • Spaso-Preobrazhensky monastery in Novgorod-Severskiy is a bright example of the defense of the monastery, whose image came to us from the times of Kievan Rus '. Getting here is purposefully from Buchanan, as many have heard and read about this place. The monastery was almost completely rebuilt starting from the fortified walls and ending with the main Cathedral. It can be seen that the restorers worked on glory. The monastery's territory is large enough and there is where to wander and look at. On arrival were a bit surprised by the almost complete lack of people (lonely tourists swarm does not count) and a feeling of desolation: the door hanging open campus (for all the time we have never met anyone who'd wondered what we're doing here) while the main building was not hit. In general too quiet (perhaps affected that our visit was on a Saturday evening). The main temple has interesting architecture both inside and outside. In principle, a good place. Specifically here to go probably not worth it, but combine a visit with other sites (e.g. Baturin, etc.) is very even.

  • The monastery really well renovated. In the Center there is the majestic Temple Colonnade. To the right of the Peter and Paul Church, where more than 400 years. The Museum, to the left of the entrance to the monastery, neat, interesting, but, unfortunately, very small Exposition. Most of the exhibits. Take a walk on the territory of the monastery is very interesting, especially impressed the underpass. According to legend, he was under the Gum outside Novgorod.

  • Very fine all restored. You can walk everywhere, plus current Cathedral Museum. Do not immediately realize that during the war there was a camp and then almost all destroyed. 'D like ... lodged with excavation and general atmosphere-words cannot convey. And which types of Gum with streletskaya towers! Just Pearl City.
