  • Right next to the city walls a beautiful passage reminiscent of Barcelona we enjoyed. On one side the remains of defensive walls with dobudówkami and several palaces-the other numerous art nouveau office buildings, beautifully decorated with savings banks, banks, houses. Between the strings of buildings, tree-lined promenade, the Avenue. At the top is an impressive building of Opera and Ballet, at the end of the Memorial, and in the middle of the monument to Taras Shevchenko, poet and painter of the romantic (1814-61). The monument by Andrija and Volodymyr Suchowskich was unveiled in 1992, two years later, the wing was added, a stele called the wave of Revival with numerous Ukrainian and religious motifs. On the benches under the trees, many of the old couple are playing checkers. If the time has stopped.

  • Cool place to rest after a walk around the old Market location that each will indicate, on the one hand closes it Opera, on the other, the Adam Mickiewicz statue. A meeting place for the inhabitants of Lviv who entertaining time playing cards or chess, and for this reason, the benches are crowded and difficult to find free, being on the Prospekt Svobody I recommend visiting the ethnographic museum which is located in the former building Of the Galician Society and the Opera Theatre. Restaurants along the Barbican is not specific, lack of men not knocks, however, you might want to visit restaurants in the old town market. Not far from the Opera Theatre for those interested I am. a flea market where we can find a bit of antiques and handicrafts.
