Landmark Tourist Spot
Built in 1835, Lviv city council boasts a classical Viennese architectural style, with a yellow and white facade and a clock with bells at the top. You can climb its 350 stairs to one of the most well-known observation platforms in the area. Standing 65 m (213 ft) tall, the tower stems from others, the first one being a wooden town hall from 1357. The city council works on the premises, but you're free to tour the interior. Look for vivid stained-glass windows and inspect the intricate antique clockwork. Put Lviv city council on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Lviv vacation trip planner.

  • The city hall has quite poor interior so there is not much to see. The tower is worthwhile. It costs 20 uha and takes about 400 steps to climb the tower but the panorama is amazing  more »
  • Definitely worth the visit regardless of how far it is away from the centre or the place! It's located in Rynok Square so you can imagine how great it is to be there. I can see that it's very long and...  more »
  • Great view of the whole city :) Be ready for some climbing :> Best to visit early since its get crowded fast (and its not easy to pass on the stairs).  more »

  • A small fee to pay to get to the spectacular views of Lviv. A small fee to pay but well worth it. Expect some stair climbing though. The interior has a few areas that are of interest which can be considered rest stops on the way up!
  • 30 Hryvnia to go to the top. Expect a lengthy climb, but it's not that bad. Once you are at the top, you'll enjoy some of the best views of Lviv. It really is amazing. However, expect a loud noise from the bells. Try not to get startled.
  • The walk up feels long the first time you do it, but if you have an expectation of how far it is, you don't really think of it as far. The view is delightful, just beware the bell which strikes every 15 minutes.
  • Climbing upstairs is a bit challenging but the view is well worth the effort!
  • Great view from the top of the building. There's no lift so you have to walk. :)
