  • The Gothic Cathedral of the assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary-popularly known as the Latin Cathedral-is one of the oldest and most important churches in Lviv, at the turn of the 14th and 15th century. Here, before the miraculous image of our Lady of Graces made vows of King Jan II Kazimierz, in 1677 the baptism in the Cathedral has the future Polish King Stanisław Leszczyński. At the end of the 17th century was carried out thorough restaurant Cathedral by deleting numerous Gothic and Renaissance tombs, epitaphs and altars. Everything was converted into a Baroque style with a touch of Rococo. During the war and after the second world war the Basilica declined – she returned to glory after Ukraine's independence and before the arrival of Pope John Paul II. Magnificent high altar, stained-glass Windows and a wonderful and our Lady of the graces are a huge magnet. Be sure to take a look at it.

  • One-link square laid down in there. Situated in the splendid Gothic Cathedral, crowded place, but went inside and was quiet and solemn atmosphere.
