  • Kremenets castle was the third one on our way after Zbarazhand and Vishnevets castles. This castle was totally ruined and not rebuilt. I was impressed by its huge and impressive walls and the view fro...  more »
  • The castle is more of a ruin with some remnants. It is a nice place to stay with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. At the Castle are guides that tell about the area (fees apply) but during our visit, there were unfortunately no guides who spoke English. Nevertheless, did one of the guides very his best to teach us some what partly succeeded. Most important stories were also happy in our travel guide.

  • The original Castle (dating back at least to the 12th century) little remains, but are highly evocative ruins (a long stretch of walls and a gateway), which give a good idea of how large and impressive should be the fortress in its glory days. It's a peaceful and pleasant stage undoubtedly, on top of a hill that offers spacious and fantastic views over the Valley, until you reach the nearby monastery of Pochayiv. Work of the imagination and just imagine how they feel Ukrainians before the advancing Mongol troops, who never managed to storm the Castle. While you are in Kremenetes, don't miss the opportunity to visit the main church in the city centre, the Soviet-era monument that precedes it and the Cossack cemetery, which may not be very easy to find (but it's still listed on google maps!).

  • Must place to visit! You can get nice view from here. And you can get here by car.
  • It hard to get on hill. It was a great castle, it's a pity that there is no any restoration job
  • Nice place to visit! Great views from the mountain. From the castle there is only walls, but still very beautifull!
  • Wonderful views and interesting story

In 1321 he Kremenets with Luzk came under the rule of Lithuania, later Polish. In 1536 he district krzemieniec received from her husband Sigismund the old Queen Bona. Was reconstruction a Renaissance Castle and has been reinforced. In October the year 1648 Colonel Cossack Maksym Kryvonis captured the Castle and destroyed it. In this State remains until today.
