  • The castle is more of a ruin with some remnants. It is a nice place to stay with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. At the Castle are guides that tell about the area (fees apply) but during our visit, there were unfortunately no guides who spoke English. Nevertheless, did one of the guides very his best to teach us some what partly succeeded. Most important stories were also happy in our travel guide.

  • The original Castle (dating back at least to the 12th century) little remains, but are highly evocative ruins (a long stretch of walls and a gateway), which give a good idea of how large and impressive should be the fortress in its glory days. It's a peaceful and pleasant stage undoubtedly, on top of a hill that offers spacious and fantastic views over the Valley, until you reach the nearby monastery of Pochayiv. Work of the imagination and just imagine how they feel Ukrainians before the advancing Mongol troops, who never managed to storm the Castle. While you are in Kremenetes, don't miss the opportunity to visit the main church in the city centre, the Soviet-era monument that precedes it and the Cossack cemetery, which may not be very easy to find (but it's still listed on google maps!).

  • Look at the one preserved wall is sad, and even pay money for it. But the view at Kremenets from the mountain.
