  • A lot of Russian/Sovjet airplanes and helicopters are exhibited, from WWI to the 1980s, mixing civilian and military models. I spent 3 hours there in rather bad weather and could probably use an hour ...  more »
  • My little one really enjoyed this place, it's pity we had a limited time to visit it. It's close to Zhuliany airport so if you take a flight from/to there, definitely worth a couple of your hours. Ooh...  more »

  • Excellent outdoor display of civil and military aircraft from USSR days. Visited several times over the years. Cafes and a small gift shop are on site as well. A must see for any aviation enthusiast!
  • Wide collection of historic aircraft both civil and military. Exhibitions are well maintained and some systems are even functional. You can find rare and unique prototype versions of production aircraft on display, including experimental, one of a kind pieces. It's possible to get up close with the aircraft. Worth a visit to this part of town. Easily accessible with local marshrutka.
  • Awesome awesome open air museum - exhibiting at least ten of the most iconic soviet aircraft of the 20th century - some can be accessed by buying extra tokens at the ticket booth. The staff spoke limited English but were all polite, helpful and seemed pretty passionate about their collection - special mention to the girl who worked in the gift shop who was chatty and lovely! A must for anyone who likes to get up close to huge old beasts of the CCCP!
  • In Ukraine, it's #1 open airplane museum. Might be not fancy as some other places, but still one of its kind here: has several exclusive and rare planes on exhibition: strategic nuclear bombers Tupolev TU-22 Backfire of three modification and TU-95 Bear, Beriev Be-6 and Be-12 - large marine warplanes and Mill Mi-26 - world largest helicopter. Not to mention famous MiG-15bis. Mind weather forecast and consider taking your snacks with you. Buy permission to do photo/video at the entrance, if you plan to do so.
  • VERY friendly and helpful staff. Nice selection of aircrafts, even rare types. New exposition of engines is very interesting. Definitely should visit it!
