Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web
Although Soviet authorities demolished the medieval-era original before World War II, St. Michael's Cathedrale stands today reflecting much of its former glory. Deemed historically worthless by the Communist government and obliterated in 1936, the church was reconstructed by 2000 as a post-independence project of the Ukrainian government. Walk the cathedral grounds and marvel at the structure's array of golden domes and sky-blue paint. Admire the many depictions of its patron saint, the Archangel Michael, including the golden statue that sits high above the entrance. Be sure to visit the museum to see exhibitions displaying religious artifacts related to the cathedral and documenting its journey through history. • Boarded the cable car directly to the Cathedral in the Church atmosphere very well. Around well-groomed territory, very impressive.

  • Got the chance to enter while the choir was performing. Out of respect, when you enter, don't take pictures and just enjoy the moment.
  • From the outside, more beautiful than in the St. Sophia and it's been great. However, within the other better liked, but it was really egyénfüggő and it is a must. The Interior of Saint Sofia was a bit smoother, more érintetlenebb I felt in really old features, so I was in kinder. However, it should be added that St. Nicholas more younger and had to be renewed after the destruction of the Soviet Union. Many of the original mosaic is the Museum of St. Petersburg, to this day and is the subject of debate in the visszaadásuk. The Russians are a part of Kijevnek has been returned, but not nearly all of them, so you can find the Temple a few copies or other mosaics. However, none of the 5 points in question, one of the finest point of Kiev!
