Observe the tiny world of art under a microscope at Mykola Syadristy Microminiatures Museum, featuring works of a famous Ukrainian artist who dedicated 50 years to creating the world's smallest handmade objects. View for yourself items like the world's smallest book through a microscope. You'll see a working electric motor 20 times smaller than a poppy seed, and a caravan of camels made of gold placed in a needle's eye. Look for the windmill made out of more than 200 tiny particles on a half of a poppy seed, and see a human hair featuring a rose inside, made of paint flakes that were removed from old canvases. • Somehow we did not pay attention to this Museum (((and for good reason: there are many interesting exhibits! Astounding skill people who made such wonderful work immediately remembered the story about miniature-shod flea ...))) is well worth a visit! I think it will be interesting not only for the children but also for adults.

  • Incredible how someone could fabricate such intricate sculptures and models given the tools and technology at the time. The rose inside a human hair completely blew me away.
  • This museum is inside the Pecherski Lavra and you pay separate entry for it. It is absolutely tiny, but it's fitting for the miniatures on display. Amazing how one can make something so tiny.
  • I didn't know Mykola Syadristy, his works made me speechless. If you are not far from there, you should definitely spend some time to discover his micro miniature sculptures, it is worth it.
  • I remember being impressed when I was a child in 80th. Difficult to imagine how you could do it by hands at that time. Think of rose put in a tube made of a hair.calling to check if it is opened is a good idea.
  • There is something interesting about this experience. How can you imagen to paint your mother's face and a poem on a splitted Poppy seed? To have golden slippers on a flea? and many interesting miniatures wonders made by this aeronautical space engineer.
  • The Museum is located on the territory of the monastery, but the themes of the Museum and the exposition almost not associated with religious topics (except, perhaps, the fact that Nikolai Syadristy-believer). Worth a split Museum on 2 totally separate subjects, though both subjects very exciting! 1. Museum of miniatures is one of 2 in the world! exhibitions of this kind. Miniature simply staggering, and each time the question is: how? People simply genius. So, what's the use of telling-need to see. 2. Inside the museum itself is located in the center of the layout with the replicas and quotations about Communism and socialism. Nikolay Sergeevich held a unique work by reading and analyzing hundreds of volumes of the collected works of Lenin, Marx and Engels. You stop half an hour to read everything (and best of all-request to conduct a tour, it's free! the woman who works there from the heart so all presents.) believe it is necessary to hear, or at least read each. Even having a good knowledge of history (studied in the historical circle), for me it was a shock heard. Come and bring their children, friends, this is a must see and hear everything!
