Andriyivski Uzviz, Kiev
(4.4/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web)
Paved with cobblestones and lined with notable buildings, Andriyivski Uzviz connects two of Kiev's main neighborhoods. Wander the length of the 720 m (2,362 ft) street, long a part of Kiev's traditional artists' district, passing its host of souvenir stands and shops selling Orthodox- and Ukrainian-themed gifts. Stop and admire the many ornate 18th-century homes along the way--including that of the legendary Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov--as well as the intricately decorated St. Andrew's Church from the Baroque period. Alternatively, swing by one of the many cafes or eateries along the way. A visit to Andriyivski Uzviz represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Kiev vacation route planner to plot your vacation.

  • A very beautiful piece of architecture in one of the older, more beautiful parts of the city. Amazing colours especially on a sunny day.
  • Know a few people who have never been on andreevskiy spusk, with lifetime live in Kiev. Do not understand how you can so:) My favorite place in this big city. A place with a charming atmosphere, here you get a charge of energy for a long time. A lot of interesting cafes, souvenir shops, because it is not in vain that you can often see foreign tourists. St. Andrew's Church-one of the main attractions of this zone. From the observation deck offers an interesting picture.

  • I would call this street better for walking. Here and the majestic Church which could not fail to catch the eye of a passer-by. Just constantly operate gift shops where you can buy yourself an interesting stuff on memory of Kiev. Along the way there are interesting cafes, monument and Museum of Bulgakov and even has a mural but not Bulgakov. Right there where always aleika has many paintings by local artists. And on the left there is a stairway that can climb to admire the beautiful sunset in combination with the modern architecture of this area as Vozdvizhenka. They say this is the Lysa Hora Bulgakov. The same way you will see Richard's Castle and can go grab a snack at the L'vovsku Studio of chocolate. Personally I really like this descent. Another advantage I believe that you will go to the street which is easy to get to on the counterassembly or Postal area. For those in Kiev for the first time, it's just a mast see.
