4.4/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web
Paved with cobblestones and lined with notable buildings, Andriyivski Uzviz connects two of Kiev's main neighborhoods. Wander the length of the 720 m (2,362 ft) street, long a part of Kiev's traditional artists' district, passing its host of souvenir stands and shops selling Orthodox- and Ukrainian-themed gifts. Stop and admire the many ornate 18th-century homes along the way--including that of the legendary Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov--as well as the intricately decorated St. Andrew's Church from the Baroque period. Alternatively, swing by one of the many cafes or eateries along the way. A visit to Andriyivski Uzviz represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Kiev vacation route planner to plot your vacation.

  • Legendary place, beautiful and original, it is a pity that all this was left in the past and in the present-izrytye streets, piles of garbage, gaping voids and wastelands, neglected houses, cow skull on a hillock (an art object?), gloomy souvenir sellers. Of course, the Slavic Soul understands and appreciates the quiet beauty and originality, and here are my foreign counterparts remained completely bewildered. St. Andrew's Church is a beautiful, soon after arrival home revised favorite movie "for two hares", that's where the coloring! If you ever happen to visit there again, hope to see the street in all its glory!
