  • Tarakanovskiy Fort is not an official tourist destination due to its condition. But informal tours spent here. Oh and just a mass of people come to see and photos in this wonderful place. Have a look at that. As if you get into a book, where you walk around the city, which many years ago left people. Impressions are simply amazing!

  • Fort lost in the middle of a forest is really a fascinating place! One of the most interesting in Ukraine! I know that there are groups, we get ourselves (hitchhiking, from roads to go 10-15 minutes). Were for may (2013)-all green and very pretty. Recommend! Be sure to take a flashlight!

  • One of the many hidden gems in the Ukraine that you miss without good preparation. No signs to the attraction, and in my case not in the travel book described. A kilometre by a narrow forest path leads you to the parking lot of the fort. The fort is surrounded by a large bunker complex from the second World War (bring a flashlight) and there are not many tourists who disrupt the experience. The complex is entirely free of charge but there are also no signs with information, read you will beforehand in line or a guide. Because the complex is freely accessible and not always very well maintained is you have to pay attention to your own safety. Lots of dark spots in the bunker complex and debris in the fort.

  • Very interesting place! Take a guide for the tour, it would be much more interesting and safer (as the fort is not in a great condition)! You can google for guides online or find them at the entrance to the fort, they are usually locals who know the place and know its history quite well.
  • Magnificent fort. 7 underground levels. Not that easy to get into. Watch out for poisonous plants and ceiling bricks that fall down
  • good place for a half hour break. if you want a break from driving when traveling from Kyiv to Lviv.
  • Monumental post war construct
  • Must see
