  • Currently here after Hurricane Maria so my images don't do it justice on a normal day. Not fond of the price gouging this place is doing for responders. Nearly $300 per night for this seaside motel.... Not worth it in my opinion. I would rate the room as lower middle on the scale of hotel rooms. Even when the mess gets cleaned up, I wouldn't come back here to stay. Beach view is nice. Bar is nice. Far from everything.
  • We've stayed here several times. We stay in the villas across the street from the main resort. Non-all inclusive. The picture of the small pool is right out front of our villas. A larger pool is across the street in the main resort. The resort is clean and the staff is friendly and very helpful. Our rooms are always well kept and comfortable. East End Pizza, on the property, is fantastic! The resort itself is a bit removed from most of the sites and action but we rent a car and don't mind. It's close to Udall Point and Isaac's Bay, which is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and best snorkeling aside from Buck Island. Ha' Penney beach is a short drive from the resort and another gem of a beach, so it has its pluses.
  • My Husband and I stayed at this resort on the August 29-September 1. This is most defiantly NOT a 4 star resort. I could barely give it a 1. Maybe some of the reason may be because of it being off season and the seaweed came in by the mountain. I have stayed at several all inclusive resorts that claimed to be a 4 star and most were what they claim to be. This resort is old, tired and just dirty. I can't really say the food was anything special. The resort had one restaurant on site and you could order food at the pool. There was not much in the way of entertainment. They had some kind of entertainment in the evening for an hour or two and usually finished by 9:00 pm. After 9:00 your choices were to watch a movie or go to the casino. I felt like the lack of things to do was to get you to the casino to spend your money. Don't worry about dressing up in the evening. Beach wear and shorts are pretty much it. The staff and management are not very helpful. We saw the manager everyday and he never spoke to us. Beware of the noseums!! This is a sand flea! I had at least 100 bites by the time I got home and have suffered for 2 weeks even after seeing my doctor. The lady in the gift shop was awesome and the Taxi drivers from Steven's taxi were great. I will NOT EVER go back there and I would tell everyone I know not to stay there.
  • We had a great time during our vacation at Divi! While the resort had some minor physical blemishes (a tile needs to be replaced, water mark on an outside wall, etc), the staff, the service, and the overall beauty of the island make up for these details ten-fold. The staff is simply amazing! Everyone is always extremely helpful and friendly. Our fun and relaxation seemed to be their main concern daily! The food was delicious and plentiful. Although there are only 3 main meals daily, it is easy to get a snack at the casino, take extras to save for later, or order off the lunch menu again.....however, we ate so much, we weren't often hungry at all!! Despite the well-known seaweed problem, the island is gorgeous. Every where you turn there is another view of crystal clear waters, green mountains, or fragrant flora. Coral and unique fish are everywhere ready to be seen. There are endless activities which will immerse you in nature if you choose to partake. Don't forget your camera! If you enjoy underwater sports such as diving or snorkeling, you may want an underwater camera because it is some of the best in the world. If you decide to venture around the island, I recommend renting a car. It's cheaper and more convenient than relying on shuttles or taxis. It is easy to rent a car right at the airport. If you prefer to save a few dollars, some rental agencies outside the airport are a bit cheaper, but we found the convenience leaving the airport on our own to be worth it. Visiting the Buck Island National Park is a must do! We loved sailing to the island with Teroro II. The guides are very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting facts about the island. Sailing was unique, and the island is breathtakingly beautiful. Cruzan Rum Distillery is a fun way to spend a few hours. The staff there is knowledgeable and the tour is very interesting. You also get more then enough to try during the sampling portion of the tour. It is important to remember that the economy on island may not be what you are used to at home. Blemishes are easy to ignore if you keep this fact in mind. Also, although gratuity is "included" in the meal fee, many workers never receive any extra money added to their measly pay. We felt tipping was important and tried to give everyone that served/helped us an extra few bucks...especially for wait staff and housekeeping. My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer! If you come ready to have a great time, you definitely will!!
  • Avoid it at all costs. Shady deals, mediocre service. The only reason they got 2 stars is because the food is spectacular and the property really has a lot of potential. So long as someone takes the reigns and fixes the "I don't care about you attitude" of most employees. Double and triple check your all inclusive bookings and get it in writing somehow, once we got there they said that we didn't book that option even though it is the only thing offered in their website and had to pay and ADDITIONAL $80/pp per night!!!. Never again doing business with a Divi Hotel
