Magens Bay, Magens Bay

Consistently ranked among the world's top beaches, Magens Bay offers arguably the most photogenic stretch of shore available on the Virgin Islands. The sugary sands and calm waves on the northern coast of Saint Thomas invite you to swim, kayak, and paddleboard. Visually appealing from every angle, the charming coastal spot enjoys the protection of its surrounding park, which offers organized camping and encompasses swathes of mangroves and wetlands. The park also contains several rental venues designed to host weddings, family parties, and other private events. The beach itself boasts picnic tables, food vendors, changing facilities, and several outfits renting water-sport equipment. • St.Thomas was the first stop on our 7 day cruise, we had 3 days with excursions and 3 for relaxing at the beach. We spent our time in St. Thomas as Magens Bay and it was the best beach day we had. Ver...  more »
  • Somewhat crowded, calm beach for the most part when there are no cruise ships in. Not many fish for snorkeling but recommended as a beach to check out!  more »
  • We decided to come to Magen’s despite the information that the entrance fee was high. It is not. The entrance fee is $5 per person with a $2 parking fee. The beach itself is beautiful and clean. There...  more »

  • Beautiful beach! We decided to paddle board while visiting. Rental company was super friendly and helpful to those that had never paddle boarded. We brought our own snorkel masks and used those while visiting the beach as well. We ordered pizza from the restaurant - for the price it was decent. Would definitely recommend this beach. This is the only beach we visited for a full day!
  • My favorite beach in all of the Caribbean! Visited on our honeymoon as well as subsequent visits to St Thomas and St John. Gentle surf, crystal clear water, great beach grill. Went paddle boating out about midway to the end of the Bay and found a nice secluded spot to sun bathe. Great for couples and for families with kids.
  • Beautiful! Got to swim with a turtle too! And stingrays jump out of the water. Who knew? Beautiful beach! The West side did not suffer as much damage as the East. Regardless, it is still one of my most favorite places on the planet!
  • Beautiful. Came here on a 30 Jun 2018 and it was beautiful. Apparently there is/was a hike down to the Bay, but we nor our cabbie could find it. It costs $5 to get in. Only downside, we didn't see any umbrellas.
  • Magen's Bay is a gorgeous beach in a unique and breathtaking setting. There is a cute bar and very informal eatery right on the beach. There are lots of picnic tables, you can rent chairs and kayaks too. The water is clear and we found so many pretty shells that we brought home and put in a glass bowl as a reminder of our beautiful trip. One of the highlights of our vacation for sure!
