We had the privilege of visiting both locations. Both were equally friendly, well stocked. The aisles were tight at the one we frequented more often (Coral Bay), and we just had good laughs with the g... read more »

Dolphin is the most extensive grocery store in Cruz Bay. They usually have a good stock of any staples and a growing variety of speciality foods too. You can also get some toiletries now. Also a pretty good wine selection, which makes provisioning for your boat trip a one-stop-shop!
We rented a villa for two+ weeks and explored most all the beaches, sights & food establishments on STJ by land. This place was frequented by us for the wife's wine, my Cruzan, gallon bottles of water, beach snacks & breakfast items. Good & interesting selection of coffee & breakfast foods considering it's a small island market. (We went out for all lunches & dinners so I can't speak for those items) Oldest market on the island with the best prices. Be Aware: Parking is for market patrons only.
Probably best grocery store on St. John. Pretty good prices.
Prices are high, but they're about the best you'll find on St John. Decent selection of goods but not much for fresh produce (Starfish Market is more expensive, but a better selection of fruit/vegetables).
