Magic Ice, Charlotte Amalie

4.0
#4 of 86 in Things to do in Charlotte Amalie
Feel the chill of the Arctic in the middle of the Caribbean at Magic Ice, a quirky attraction showcasing ice sculptures. The facility creates a sub-zero climate in order to house the sculptures, made from ice and snow by artists from all over the world. Take a walk through whole houses made of ice, and have fun snapping photos of friends and family members sitting in the large ice throne. You may not have packed for these conditions, but don't worry: parkas, gloves, and leg warmers are provided, so you won't have to endure the cold in your swimming gear. • If you are looking to lower your temperature. it's place. It's very cool. Inside they have many ice sculptures.  more »
  • It was a little pricy, but really neat to see all of the ice sculptures! I wish they would have given us slippers to wear!  more »
  • This place was so awesome. After being in the hot humid weather all day, going into the ice bar was just what we needed. Wes who worked there was wonderful and so friendly. Drinking rum out of an ice ...  more »

  • Tourist trap. We had a good time when we visited, and the artistic ability of the ice carvers is definitely worth checking out. However, trip advisor and other reviews left me expecting more from this place. It's not a bad one time experience, but if you're on a time crunch (Cruise ship day stop) skip this and hit something else.
  • Was beutiful but the tour was about 10 or 15 minutes and is not that big
  • Amazing. There was 4 of us in our group. It's like nothing I've ever seen before. One in our group did the ice slide which was pretty funny. Love the shot you get at the end plus you get to keep the shot glass. Will do again on our next visit.
  • I can only imagine the time it took to create this place! Not only did it instantly eliminate my sweat from the heat, we got to experience a very cool art exhibit, ice playground, and grab a drink! If you've never been, go check it out! It's cool!
  • Perfect place to throw a party.
