The Hole, Providenciales

1.4
#6 of 9 in Sightseeing in Providenciales
Landmark Tourist Spot
Take a good look at the fascinating geological formation at The Hole. The impressive hole makes a good stop as part of a larger excursion. You’ll see snakes and birdlife living around the huge limestone hole, which was slowly eroded over generations by acidic water. Be conscious of any small children in your group, as there are no railings surrounding the deep hole. Put The Hole and other Providenciales attractions into our Providenciales vacation route planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • It's a hole. A place where I'd love a certain president* to visit when he's on a rampage. It's very cool looking, deep, dark abyss. My husband climbed down the tunnel on the backside, I couldn't even ...  more »
  • We were on a tour and this was one of the stops. It was a big waste of time. It's just a hole in the ground. You can barely see anything, so I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to see this thing....  more »
  • 'The Hole' is exactly that. Big. Deepish and without a guardrail in sight. Forty feet off the side-road. Hard to photograph without a fish-eye and stagnant rather than the swimmable cenotes found in M...  more »
