Little Water Cay, Providenciales

(4.4/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Head to the nature reserve of Little Water Cay, otherwise known as 'Iguana Island'. The cay accomodates some of the few remaining rock iguanas that used to inhabit most of the islands in the Turks and Caicos. Access the cay by tour boat or kayak from the Leeward Marina on Providenciales. Wooden boardwalks map out the island and due to the endangered nature of the iguanas it's a requirement to stay on the paths. Pristine waters surround the cay, ideal for snorkelling and observing an abundance of marine life. • If you want to visit the iguanas...which you should, go by kayak or on a tour that includes admission. If you go yourself, park down the beach always for some beautiful scenery.  more »
