Little Water Cay, Providenciales
(4.4/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
Head to the nature reserve of Little Water Cay, otherwise known as 'Iguana Island'. The cay accomodates some of the few remaining rock iguanas that used to inhabit most of the islands in the Turks and Caicos. Access the cay by tour boat or kayak from the Leeward Marina on Providenciales. Wooden boardwalks map out the island and due to the endangered nature of the iguanas it's a requirement to stay on the paths. Pristine waters surround the cay, ideal for snorkelling and observing an abundance of marine life. • Great spot to visit as part of our Caicos Dream Tours 1/2 day snorkel cruise. We saw 1 iguana and visited the spectacular Half Moon Bay.
  • This is a very nice attraction to see and the Iguana's just stand really still to see you. You can only get here by boat and there are different tours to do and not very expensive.
  • We took a boat out to the island and were met by our guide, Elliott. He gave us a brief overview and showed us the islands most famous resident, Rocky the oldest known iguana on the island. A five min...  more »
