Bight Reef, Providenciales
Categories: Reefs, Nature & Parks
Head out to explore Bight Reef, a biologically rich coral reef popular with snorkelers. Located in a national park, the reef stretches out 32.5 m (350 ft) from the coast and can be easily accessed from the eastern end of the main beach. The reef supports a large array of small fish and a few heftier sea creatures, such as turtles, rays, and barracudas. The actions of some snorkelers have forced a decline in the delicate ecosystem in recent years; make sure to leave everything where it is and don't touch the coral or fish.
