Relax in the soft white sands and turquoise waters of Pillory Beach. The beach enjoys an excellent reputation among divers and snorkelers for its close-shore conditions and biodiversity. Spend some quality secluded time on this uncrowded spot, perfect for reading and sunbathing. Onsite facilities include restrooms, plus food and drink nearby. Take a moment to contemplate the site's historical significance: this is where Christopher Columbus first dropped anchor on his discovery of America. • This was recommended when we asked a taxi driver. Taxi fare was cheap.. Beautiful resort, geared to divers. They boast the "Third largest reef in the world"... However much for everyone.. Lay back and...  read more »
  • Our favorite Beach in Grand Turk, far enough away from cruise dock to be attained only by those who take a taxi. Very relaxing. There is a dive resort, the Bohio, which has hotel restaurant and bar. Close to a few umbrellas in the resort there is a plant that can give shade if you have no umbrella like us. Parking is ampio (proportionate to the few users). Walking along the beach as you can get to Cockburn town, but beware of the Sun!. The colors of the sea. Minnows equally. We have seen a barracuda a few meters from the shore. On the beach we were alone most of the time! Peace and quiet. The children enjoyed watching the donkeys passing by chance, them swimming with mask and snorkel and enjoyed lunch at Bohio!! Have been back several times for the last bath before you leave!!
