An imposing landmark of the capital Monument Arch of Neutrality, stands as an impressive three-legged white tower glorifying the essence of Turkmenistan's complex policy. Topped by a gilt 12 m (39 ft) statue of the country's first president, this 95 m (312 ft) tall structure is set in a white marble town in a picturesque park. The popular Tripod features an observation deck at 45 m (148 ft) from where you can get panoramic views of the city. There is a museum with a collection of state gifts presented to the President Saparmurat Niyazov. Observe the changing of guards at the foot of the tower.   • Arch of Neutrality. Its must see in Ashgabat, cause except visiting monuments nothing much to do. I managed to find a brief info about this local Eiffel tower which You wont find in LP or other city g...  more »
  • On the basis of that style that predominates in general in Ashgabat is pulling to tacky, this is not the best, is great, immense in size, but is difficult to understand and seems a rocket ready to be released. Lit at night, this feeling is enhanced even more.

  • Imposing this essential monument in Asgabat or "City of love". Also known as "Tripod", it has 75 meters of height, white plain, as all this fascinating city built with marble and which is filled with lights at night. It was erected by the first President, Saparmurat Niyazov, to commemorate National neutrality. In life, the Golden image of the Obelisk rotating, but failed to do so with his death.
