Greek Amphitheater, Side
(4.4/5 based on 1,800+ reviews on the web)
Be transported back to the culture of antiquity at Greek Amphitheater, one of the well-preserved highlights of the Side ruins system. The mighty theater was originally constructed in 2 CE, boasting a seating capacity of 15,000-20,000--making it one of the largest of its kind in the Ancient Pamphylia region. Although some of the stage area has collapsed, the construction provides a vivid insight into life and entertainment millennia ago. After exploring the historical construction, take time to appreciate the views of the ruins complex as it sits amidst the surrounding countryside and the sea. There are special paths for visitors, but these are not particularly well-maintained; sensible shoes are recommended. Make Greek Amphitheater a part of your Manavgat vacation plans using our Manavgat trip builder.

  • You should have seen if you here are in the region. Recommend a minimum of 1/2 day. Also around is there much to see. For 2 euros you get tour and more explanation of local population.

  • Very beautiful place. One of the largest preserved amphitheatres. Old Town stands on the seashore and bound with numerous modern hotels and restaurants.
