Thought to be the house of Mary, the mother of Jesus, until her death, the ancient ruins of Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House) is now a shrine for Catholics. Travelers on a pilgrimage often make the small stone house a stopping point. Inside the chapel is an altar beside a large statue of the Virgin Mary. As you look to your right you will see the smaller room where Mary is thought to have slept. Outside the shrine is a beautiful fountain, which many believe has spiritual healing powers. Before you go, it is traditional to leave a prayer in the "wishing wall." • As we get closer to the House of the Virgin Mary spiritual energy I feel all the time that I came to higher ground. This is the same for all religions and non-believers in peace and feel the rootstock of the Virgin Mary that fulfills the tenderly, a special place. And on the way to fill a bottle of medicinal water with you and don't forget to take a pen and paper for wishing.

  • I do not complain of this visit, found me it amazing, history, everything so simple, great unknown to people, with its three fountains and its wall of wishes.

  • Lovely place to visit, They say that St. John under the cross brought Mary here with him after the death of Jesus. Very small, when I visited they would not let you take photos inside. There is a long wall were pilgrims tie pieces of white cloth to receive graces.
  • Even if you have a car, it's hard to reach this place. There is a very small church at this place and they claim that Virgin Mary lived there. And there are information boards in a lot of languages which says the same thing some nun sees that place at her dream so it must be where Mery lived. Also the entrance fee is high for a place like that and also you can't use your Müzekart there. If you want to enjoy that place, you must be a religious christian who believes that story. It's not a museum, it's hard to reach and there is only a very small church over there so think about this before you go otherwise you might end up wasting your time. And same thing also applies to Seven Sleepers.
  • A very nice place. Peaceful. There is a wall where you can write a wish on paper, put it on the wall.... And the wish will come true. Also there are some magical Springs... You can drink magical water.
  • Araba ile gittiginiz halde alt taraftaki otoparki kullanamiyirsunuz valilik emri ile! Haliyle ulasmak biraz zorlasiyor. Ozellikle de yasli veya hamile iseniz sicakta zor anlar yasayabilirsiniz. Bunun disinda temizlik ve tertip guzel. Ha bir de unutmadan Meryem ananin ellerini calmislar, ayip etmisler ...
  • One can feel a special aura from within this religious home, and it is definitely a place to visit for the faithful. Too bad it is quite remote that you'd have to take a taxi or hire a car to get there.
