Where to stay in Selcuk

Though its close proximity to Ephesus puts the small town of Selçuk on the map, you'll find just a handful of guesthouses in the immediate area. Many are small and family operated--and budget-friendly--and some offer free shuttles to nearby Roman ruins. For more upscale options, explore the hotels a few miles east of Selçuk in the hillside town of Sirince. For luxury accommodations, you'll have to venture farther west to the coast for four- and five-star seaside resorts.

  • Large theatre with a vast orchestra, built at the beginning of the 3rd century B.C. and rebuilt in the 1st and 2nd century A.D., in relatively good condition, a must see for a visitor of Ephesus. Highly recommended._
