Zelve Open Air Museum, Nevsehir
Categories: History Museums, Historic Sites, Museums, Tourist Spots
Journey through history and see one of the best examples of Cappadocian structures carved into the rock at Zelve Open Air Museum. The museum spreads over three mountain valleys and showcases the remains of a community that thrived from the Byzantine era into the 20th century. It was finally abandoned because of erosion. See the places where people lived, worked, and prayed and learn how they used the landscape to carve out the buildings that were both functional and beautiful. You have a lot of freedom to explore, so bring good footwear for hiking. A flashlight will also help you to see deeper into the buildings. Gostamos de conhecer! O museu é interessante. Achamos que não é necessário 2hrs de visita. Com uma hora é tranquilo. Levar chapeu, boné, oculos de sol e muito protetor. We like to meet! The Museum is interesting. We think it is not necessary to 2hrs. With 1 hour is quiet. Take hat, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.show original
Another great Museum of the region. One of the best place to see geological structure of Cappadokia.
Biraz yorucu ama bölgenin en çok görülmesi gereken yerlerinden biri olduğunu düşünüyorum. İnsanlar ne yapılar yapmış tuhaf.A bit exhausting, but the region is one of the most attractions. What made doing odd people.show original
Much nicer and quiter museum than Goreme, at least in March. Enjoyable walk between three valleys and how people lived in those caves is intriguing.
Amazing landscape. Feels so surreal, like walking around in a Dr. Suess book! Be sure to look for the funky police office in a cave by the side of the road.
Wrong location, open air museum is not there

the rooms are not that much to look at except for some of the well-preserved frescos. in winter the amount of tourists is bearable. wouldn't want to go there in the summer though.
