  • It's one of the must places to visit, there are many shops that sells traditional products. However, before buying anything check other shops to get the best deal.  more »
  • Grand Bazar is well worth a visit especially related purchases by traditional Turkey. The price of goods in this market can be negotiable and its kind very much.

  • 2nd biggest roof topped bazaar in Turkey. Lots of great fakes. And not too packed if you go in the afternoon. Great place to haggle. I recommend for clothes and accessories
  • Brilliant place to shop if u r looking good jewellery family jewellers is the best place to go reasonable prices friendly staff that go out off their way to please you
  • Busy and open until late. Be warned you do get approached by each store holder wanting you to buy something. All shops are samish. If you know what you're looking for and what price you're willing to pay then great place to go, not for an evening stroll.
  • Great place to buy knock off brand name clothing for cheap. You have to drive a hard bargain, which is part of the experience. Going in the off season will get you better deals. Shops were mostly closed as it was off season, but some were open because there was a few Navy ships in town. Friends got reasonably priced leather goods, but you really must inspect every seam, hem and stitch. As most of the goods are imperfect copies or factory rejects. They have lots of sizes so just go through the piles until you find one that isn't missing a zipper pull or six inches of stitching along the collar. Turkish people are really nice and warm. Very hospitable, this place is great for shopping but the people make it more than great. You will be invited to sit down, drink tea or beer, have a smoke all while shopping, which In my opinion makes shopping here better than anywhere else on the planet.
  • Alot of shops all really the same issuie is nothing is priced and all try to rip you off if your not careful a key tip the going price is always half of what they offer

Where to stay in Marmaris

Look no further than the seaside town of Marmaris for an oceanfront getaway. Along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea sits a strip of busy hotels that appeal to the masses. Here you'll find all-inclusive hotels, guesthouses, and bed and breakfasts right next to shopping, dining, and nightlife venues. In this area, the better accommodation deals tend to restrict outside food and beverages, which can drive up your tab with restaurant bills and à la carte purchases. Farther from the coast in the Armutalan area, you'll find more laid-back accommodations, including moderately priced hotels. The noise restrictions in place ensure a more peaceful stay compared to the city center. Farther south along the coast, the Içmeler area offers the best of both worlds--while still oceanfront, the resorts here are quiet, thanks to their distance from the bustling city. Keep in mind that Içmeler is little over an hour's walk from the city, or a short water taxi ride.
