  • Too bad the picture area is prohibited, but security is closed because there's nothing to be done.

  • Its a bit of a walk up the hill to the fence, but worth it for the views and for the photos. As far as i know no one is allowed into the castle area. but you can go to the fence. Its a nice walk.  more »
  • We visited with my sister Mardin after touring Turkey with a group on a circuit of about 3000 km. This city was our dream destination and really exceeded our expectations. The city is an ancient monument of color clay, the people are very friendly and although not know English is deseperan to do is understand and help. Travel in the collective local is an incredible experience. He day that climb in address to the Castle, pass by the cemetery, us accompanied a group gladly of children that us said found and arrived with them until the lattice where not is can pass, or not arrived to the Castle. The view from this high is wonderful. When started the descent we crossed with two women of the place that us was invited to pass to its House and us showed them facilities and thus met as live. Obviously, we were invited to drink tea as usual on all sides. A unique and wonderful experience.
