  • Beautiful city, makes an unforgettable impression. On the mountain, in ruins, which here perfectly preserved. Side views and the sea and almost nobody does. It is clear that from Manavgat and side can be reached with a tourist bus or renting a car, but the important thing is that you can get there on their own, paying only for the dolmus from Manavgat. Take the Dolmus to the Waterfall (wasserfal), but there do not go out and go on. Ask the driver to Seleukiju he will drop from turning into the mountains. Just three miles up the mountain, a great walk, pass through an authentic village, past aqueduct. The village has a shop and Café Seleukii halfway up with cold drinks. We were in January, met only two pairs and several cars. Great loneliness. I advise everyone to take a walk (we initially went from 8 kilometers), but that's how it turned out, not necessarily. Similarly, the dolmushe can be reached and the Green Canyon and the dam. Quite agree with the driver dolmushi to Ojmapitinara, and it takes ten bucks to the Canyon.

  • This historic place with its rich history. Is located in the forest among pines, that's for sure you need to visit. While reach among the ruins lizards crawling under your feet, while in a forest inhabited by little pigs, but we weren't lucky enough to see them)) the place is beautiful. Recommend

  • Really wonderful attraction. The ruins of the ancient city Seleukija (Seleucia), aka Lirbe, this grandiose creation of human hands 2,000 years old, truly deserves the attention of tourists here don't have paved paths, you have to move on rocky trails ( sometimes very steep), grass, fallen needles. Therefore, going on a trip, be sure to wear comfortable shoes. By the way, from a bus parking space before the city can be reached only on foot. But go for a short time, minutes 5-7. The air here is amazing thanks to the abundance of stone pines (a type of Italian pine). If you go to the right, then soon you reach the cliff, offering beautiful views of the reservoir and the mountains. And, of course, impressive ancient city itself, which represents a large number of different buildings dilapidated, some of which have been preserved quite well.

Where to stay in Manavgat

Despite being a prime tourist destination because of its neighboring waterfalls, the town of Manavgat offers little in the way of accommodations. Instead, consider the coastal town of Side, just 2 km (1.24 mi) southwest of Manavgat. Here you'll find many options, including four-star resorts and mid-range hotels along the sandy beaches. The cape is home to more budget-friendly options--a handful of hostels and guesthouses. Stick to the cape to be within walking distance of restaurants, while not being too far from Manavgat. The waterfalls sit directly north of Manavgat, so allow for a little more travel time if you stay in Side.
