Oymapinar Dam, Manavgat

(4.5/5 based on 190 reviews on the web)
One of Turkey's largest arch dams, Oymapinar Dam draws the admiration of architecture lovers with its elegant design and scenic location. Just a short drive north of Manavgat, the structure includes unique design features that provide it with extra strength and stability. The immense force of water pushing the massive dam into the underlying rock compresses the concrete and makes the structure extremely strong. Nearby you can also visit two major waterfalls, where you can take a boat tour on the Manavgat River or hike the surrounding mountain scenery. Work out when and for how long to visit Oymapinar Dam and other Manavgat attractions using our handy Manavgat trip generator.

  • The impressive building of the przegradzająca Mountain River, with the added attraction of a primary, which is a reservoir behind a firewall on a shared water-for cruise ships, with beautiful views.

  • We were part of a tour group and got to go up to the dam and it was impressive both from the dam as well as the view at the bottom of the dam looking up.  more »
