Manavgat Waterfall and River, Manavgat

3.0
#1 of 6 in Parks in Manavgat
Surrounded by shops, cafes, and restaurants, Manavgat Waterfall and River combines natural beauty with a host of entertainment and dining options. Although the falls are only a few meters high, the wide riverbed and fast-flowing blue water create an impressive spectacle. The river is refreshingly cold, welcoming overheated visitors to dip their toes in the adjoining ponds. On the banks you can rest in shaded teahouses, where you can sample a traditional Turkish tea or coffee alongside landscaped gardens. • The rented car back to the hotel with dikes and turning the wrong way saw a large car park and lots of buses. Decided to stop and see where profits. Before the trip to the dam, we were told that there is a waterfall not far from it and we wanted it to look. Went to the Park, many vacationers local families with children, Cook meat, communicate, have fun kiddies. We walked through the Park, polovili at yourself oblique views and understood that went wrong). After a long search found the entrance and went to the observation deck. On the grounds many lovely people. But the waterfall, I would even say the water level drop me not impressed. In the end, watched 5 minutes and went to the hotel.

  • I went in the direction of great curiosity, but I expect significantly good. This is a very, very small next to that Antalya waterfalls. I saw a place to go to say I went. In particular, this is not a place to go to, the way is uğranılabilir only ...

  • For 15 euros this isn't a bad day. Cruise from Side beach to Manavgat river, swim, lunch, waterfall (3 euros extra) and market. We are glad we booked it from Tim Spaghetti in Side (near our hotel-Baru...  more »

  • great waterfalls, sometimes there is more tourist, without any problems here you will go on a trip out car
  • I saw this waterfall and the Kursunlu waterfalls in the same day, I preferred this place. The only thing that you should (as a tourist) be aware of is the ticket seller (or generally any seller in Turkey!) at the entrance. They try to rip of the tourist... we were a group of 5 people, the guy said each ticket cost 6 lira (can´t remember the exact price).. 5 times 6 = 50 lira! I knew that these things are common in Turkey and was prepared ,, and refused to overpay.. the guy then changed his words and took the right amount.. but they at least give an attempt to rip the foreigners off. Same thing happened in the Kursunlu waterfalls to us the very same day. also don´t follow the google maps, it takes you to wrong place. You need to ask the local people where the waterfall is.
  • Beautiful place. 4* only because the 3 businesses we purchased goods from all tried to rip us off. Don't bother doing business with anyone there because they try and use the language barrier as an excuse to rip you off
  • In case you want to see some trash around a touristic natural landscape and pay for it:than go ahead and visit here. Otherwise go visit a country with more beautiful natural landscapes, who cares about nature too.
  • Lovely stop if your visiting the area. Beautiful falls and fast flowing water. One viewing platform is quite low and you can get your feet wet when water is high as it flows over the top but be warned its freezing!

Where to stay in Manavgat

Despite being a prime tourist destination because of its neighboring waterfalls, the town of Manavgat offers little in the way of accommodations. Instead, consider the coastal town of Side, just 2 km (1.24 mi) southwest of Manavgat. Here you'll find many options, including four-star resorts and mid-range hotels along the sandy beaches. The cape is home to more budget-friendly options--a handful of hostels and guesthouses. Stick to the cape to be within walking distance of restaurants, while not being too far from Manavgat. The waterfalls sit directly north of Manavgat, so allow for a little more travel time if you stay in Side.
