For centuries Kemeralti Market was one of the city's most important commercial hubs, and this historical bazaar still preserves its original purpose. Join the locals in browsing for everything from fresh fruit, vegetables, and seafood, to clothes, toys, and household items. Take a break from shopping at one of numerous cafes and eateries. While some sellers at the bazaar have fixed prices for their goods, you can often haggle and get a significant discount. • Goods, souvenirs, gifts, food, groceries, and a living human panorama, this is Kemeralti market. A good place to spend time and money for a valued joy.

  • If you like shopping Kemeralti is perfect. The old basar is a karavanserai and have parts that is more than 300 years old. I recommend you to take a look of the buildings, not only the stuff inside...

  • This is a must see bazaar/shopping district in Izmir. You can find inexpensive clothing, accessories, home goods, and quite a number of unique stores and gift shops. Not to mention all kinds of delicious food vendors and coffee shops. Just to stroll through the area is an experience by itself.
  • Winding streets and varied shops. Lots of options and prices are affordable. It can get quite crowded depending on the time of day. It is also very close to the park and to the beach. The sounds are interesting as well as you can sometimes hear the chants coming from the religious buildings. This is a must see if you are in Izmir.
  • Dead place. A lot of people, but hardly anything worth getting. If it is then the sellers don't like to bargain at all and have an attitude with Tourists. No good food places either.
  • Kemeraltı is the center of İzmir lets say. I love it so much you can find anything over here. ANYTHING! . It also has all the traditional architecture and foods that İzmir has to offer
  • So so friendly. I got them bartering by flipping the coin won 200 lira from the shop owner they very friendly
