  • Came up with an expectation that I can enter the castle or atleast take some photos of the bridge. Found out the castle is not managed or taken care of because it was not made by Turks and the view was hidden by vegetation. The highlight of the walk was seeing how great a family had taken care of their shortcut to the castle with a restaurant where you can eat their homemade cakes and similar things. Put the castle into the hands of a private owner or that restaurant ;) might fix some things.
  • The walk is only worth it if you have nothing better to do. For those who have been to any other castle, you will find this one very unimpressive. As the inside of the castle is closed to visitors, your hike will be rewarded only by two stone towers, a wall, and an average view of the Black Sea.
  • Such a nice place at the top of a hill with sea view. You can take so many nice photos and enjoy the clean air and the quiet place. At the bottom of the hill close to the ferry boat terminal, there are a few fish restaurants. They are also next to the sea front. I enjoyed my day spent in that area.
  • I stayed ten years before and was able to go inside the castle. Right now it is closed and the view is not very good. The new bridge breaks the view to the black sea. It does not worth the tiring walk to the top of the hill. Some nice restaurants in the village
  • It's quite interesting place, but do it on your own . Don't go through an agency. By taking a ferry from Eminunu you can be there in 2 hrs for 25 TL approximately.
