  • Visited the stadium when my football club Östersunds Football Club OPE would play against the home team Galatasaray. EUROPE LEAGUE 2017. Jeez what arena and security. 1200 police officers and many hosts. The arena is located on the major road difficult to snag a taxi. It was difficult to get a taxi there from Kanyon shopping center and even more difficult to get a taxi home. We got to go underground there smoothly great and clear signage. An experience but is not recommended to go with children in rush hour or if you have phobias for confined environments it was terrible noise and crowded subway. Bring ear plugs to the arena Jeez what ackustik. Travel in good time and are happy to arrange transport tor before. We were not allowed to leave home can bring into the arena. At bortasektion, there was a simple kiosk with very limited range.

  • Visited the Istanbul Derby-Galatasaray-Fenerbahce. The game was not very pleased, and the stadium-a beautiful, fast, accurate searches, streams of fans are divided clearly-no queues and crowds. Stadium staff friendly and professional.

  • Fenerbahce defeated Galatasaray in the inaugural game with Alex de Souza's header.
  • It's worth a visit if you're in the area for a bit of peace and lovely views over the Bosphorus.
  • Easy approach via train. Didn't manage to go inside but still worth a visit. The Galatasaray store outside the stadium has some great merchandise for football fans.
  • I have been there for many times. The atmosphere is awesome .Fans are just crazy. Also the team is more popular than any other club in Turkey.Just hilarious.
  • Ambiance. Soul. Angles. Fans.

Where to stay in Istanbul

The bustling downtown core of old Istanbul is the popular choice among tourists wanting a short walking distance to the city's biggest attractions. Here you'll find hostel-style accommodations and reasonably priced and traditionally decorated hotels, as well as bed and breakfasts and inns with views overlooking the sea. Though often the most affordable, accommodations in the old city can be very overrun with tourists and street solicitors. If you seek a more relaxed stay, consider lodging near Taksim Square. This new, trendy neighborhood is a short 15-20 minute ride from the old city, but puts you closer to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Though the newer area of the city is a bit more upscale, you'll also find moderately priced hotels and some hostels. Look for luxury hotels in the western suburbs close to the airport, overlooking the banks of Bosphorus.
