Rustem Pasha Mosque, Istanbul

(4.7/5 based on 2,000+ reviews on the web)
Rustem Pasha Mosque showcases exquisite works of Ottoman art and architecture. Known foremost for the stunning Iznik tiles that create floral and geometric patterns across the porch, walls, and columns throughout the building, the mosque has been the source of the popularity of Iznik pottery. The chandeliers help to light up the spectacular art, carvings, and carpets that furnish this spiritual place. As a tourist, you may not visit the mosque during prayer time (during or around sunset and sunrise), and it is considered impolite to visit during group prayers or sermons. You must wear modest clothing and remove shoes before you enter. Ask your accommodation about how to get to the mosque and for prayer schedules. Put Rustem Pasha Mosque on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Istanbul tour planner.

  • Suleymaniye Mosque while visiting a tourist convoy with ask of your value system. I was living in Istanbul. Defelarca Mimar Sinan's Süleymaniye I said I went to the region of the neighborhood. Hasırcılardan coffee, nut, but that is the image of the store, han Rüstem Pasha Visit music I never thought of. He knew the tourists, I did not know. What went up a lie to his guilty by to see him. Resting on a pedestal. I went with the little lever on the range from the stairs. Non-gray. A little dirty. When you enter into, maybe you have never seen until that day a great tile collection. We have so many doyamayacağı to look at the tiles you can stay for hours .... It's up to some of the great masters created masterpiece of love and loneliness. Must-see.

  • This mosque has charmed me at first sight. It "stands" the second floor and breathes tranquillity over a bustling street, which is derived from the Egyptian market. Here are a few tourists (why I am sharing this observation), here you can sit quietly, consider the tiles, and they stand to attention.
