4.1/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web
Take a break from busy sightseeing with a visit to Pierre Loti Tepesi, the place where the locals go to relax and soak in a magnificent view of the city. The hill overlooking the Golden Horn is named after a French novelist and naval officer, the author of the semi-autobiographical novel "Aziyade" in which he described the city. On the hilltop, in addition to the scenic views and peaceful surroundings for walking, you can also find a good selection of coffeehouses and restaurants, many of which offer the authentic atmosphere of old Istanbul. If you're not driving, use the cable car to reach the viewpoint; it operates from the foot of the hill. • A reasonable attraction, access is via a funicular. The coffee has a unique view of the Golden Horn. Just worth in good weather. Has some stairs that can be tiresome for people with mobility problems.

  • This is a great place to chill and have a cup of tea. The menu is limited to just that, no cakes or anything. Service was ok. Luckily the view did not disappoint.
  • Acik hava ter kokuyor artik yuh amq, giyiyorsunuz sicakta pardusuyu bari yikanin deodorant tasiyin be kardesim... Tatil gunu iskence yasanan guzel yer...
  • A wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cup of tea while viewing Istanbul from top. Take the telefrik - cable car- from behind Eyup Camii.
  • This place is magical, although a bit creepy. It's on top of a huge cemetery, so you can either walk up the stairs through the tombs or take the cable car. We walked through the place and, even though it can be a bit morbid, it was just interesting to see how they remember their loved ones that have gone. When you get to the top the view is just unbelievable. Highly recommended!
  • Amazing view. Absolutely must visit! The cafe itself seems not so interesting not to mention it is small inside but the terrace seats are nice. Quite a photo spot!
  • Wonderful view of the Bosphorus. Great place to take photos. You can take the cable car up the hill or simply walk it.
