Pierre Loti Tepesi, Istanbul
(4.2/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Take a break from busy sightseeing with a visit to Pierre Loti Tepesi, the place where the locals go to relax and soak in a magnificent view of the city. The hill overlooking the Golden Horn is named after a French novelist and naval officer, the author of the semi-autobiographical novel "Aziyade" in which he described the city. On the hilltop, in addition to the scenic views and peaceful surroundings for walking, you can also find a good selection of coffeehouses and restaurants, many of which offer the authentic atmosphere of old Istanbul. If you're not driving, use the cable car to reach the viewpoint; it operates from the foot of the hill. Take a look at our Istanbul vacation generator to schedule your visit to Pierre Loti Tepesi and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Travel in Eyüp Sultan tea coffee break the most ideal location, a little crowded but still watch is the ideal place for Istanbul. in winter you can sit drinking coffee in indoor öneririrm.

  • A cup of coffee and sit against the landscape. Enjoy the silence. Surely it must be seen. Still if you haven't seen it you should leave as soon as possible if and İstanbuldaysanız.

  • After visiting the mosque Jejupa to this cafe is best reached by cable car, at the crossroads of streets from the square have to go right. However, normal heroes do not understand pointer and went straight down the street. Repeat the path of the hero "Asian Games"-went up-up narrow alleys, stairs, went to the cemetery, and there's already a whim went slightly down. Tired and satisfied. We are fortunate to take a table at the edge overlooking the Golden Horn. The waiter immediately came up, at the request of the menu said "I myself menu-tea, coffee, Salep, gözleme. Took all brought hot and right. The place is very popular, after our care for our table two foreigners got into a fight. Back we descended by cable car. Everywhere a view of the cemetery, but the graves of well-manicured, neat monuments was not severe as impressions after our areas. Recommend to visit.

  • Acik hava ter kokuyor artik yuh amq, giyiyorsunuz sicakta pardusuyu bari yikanin deodorant tasiyin be kardesim... Tatil gunu iskence yasanan guzel yer...
  • This place is magical, although a bit creepy. It's on top of a huge cemetery, so you can either walk up the stairs through the tombs or take the cable car. We walked through the place and, even though it can be a bit morbid, it was just interesting to see how they remember their loved ones that have gone. When you get to the top the view is just unbelievable. Highly recommended!
  • A wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cup of tea while viewing Istanbul from top. Take the telefrik - cable car- from behind Eyup Camii.
  • Amazing view. Absolutely must visit! The cafe itself seems not so interesting not to mention it is small inside but the terrace seats are nice. Quite a photo spot!
  • The best location to have a breakfast.
