Shopping Mall Shopping
Indulge your inner shopaholic at Kanyon Shopping Center, an open-air multi-purpose shopping center in the financial district housing 160 stores, as well as movie theaters, restaurants, and residential apartments. The mall's unique architectural design gives the appearance of a "canyon" with its unpredictable soft curves. Shop until you drop, catch a movie, and refuel at one of the restaurants. Bring a sweater, as the complex can get windy. To visit Kanyon Shopping Center on your holiday in Istanbul, and find out what else Istanbul has to offer, use our Istanbul travel itinerary planner.

  • One of the most exciting and elite shopping malls in Istanbul. Very popular with its restaurants, cafes and bars. Good and variety of food, different venues, fun to meet with friends and hang out; especially in the spring, fall and summer. Not a place to be out in the winter - need to sit inside. I mostly use it to eat, hang out, birthdays, coffee, etc... not my popular place to shop for clothes.
  • definitely it is the place to go.. lots of upmarket brands and restaurants. Highly recommended for shopping experience.
  • Huge building with an unusual architectural design. Many stores are located that sell luxurious products; therefore, it is for the rich and tourists. Workers are nice
  • One of my favorite shopping mall in İstanbul. Lots of luxury brands. Lots of good cafes and restaurants. Easy to spend all your day here.
  • I am in love with the design!!! I love nature a lot and somehow this place manage to make me feel like I am in a walking in nature, such a beautiful place.

Where to stay in Istanbul

The bustling downtown core of old Istanbul is the popular choice among tourists wanting a short walking distance to the city's biggest attractions. Here you'll find hostel-style accommodations and reasonably priced and traditionally decorated hotels, as well as bed and breakfasts and inns with views overlooking the sea. Though often the most affordable, accommodations in the old city can be very overrun with tourists and street solicitors. If you seek a more relaxed stay, consider lodging near Taksim Square. This new, trendy neighborhood is a short 15-20 minute ride from the old city, but puts you closer to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Though the newer area of the city is a bit more upscale, you'll also find moderately priced hotels and some hostels. Look for luxury hotels in the western suburbs close to the airport, overlooking the banks of Bosphorus.
