One of Turkey's tallest buildings, Istanbul Sapphire offers unbeatable views of the city's European section. Situated in the central business district, the skyscraper rises 54 floors above ground and boasts special features designed to absorb sunshine and protect the interior from external noise and harsh weather conditions. More than just a marvel of modern engineering, the building draws tourists with its shopping mall, restaurants, indoor golf course, vertical gardens, swimming pools, and observation deck, which provides a 360-degree view of the city. The 43rd floor houses a 4-D movie experience, simulating a helicopter flight over the city. • I enjoyed the sky ride. It is like a tour around Istanbul visiting the main sites. Water splashes were funny. I was able to see the whole city from up there.  more »
  • It is 25TL. I thought it was worth it. The pictures I took at night were beautiful. Also it is im a more affordable area of town so meals, shopping is reasonable.  more »

  • We LOVE to bring our friends here when they are in town. This is the perfect place to try and grasp how expansive this city really is. We have never eaten a meal at the top but have enjoyed drinking a cup of Turkish tea while watching the sunset over the city.
  • Not enough shoppıng optıons. I was lookıng for travel luggage and accessorıes.
  • Worth it just for the view of the city it offers from the observation deck. Also one of the best locations for photography in Istanbul.

  • Big mall with good view of istanbul city landscape from its tower hehe

Where to stay in Istanbul

The bustling downtown core of old Istanbul is the popular choice among tourists wanting a short walking distance to the city's biggest attractions. Here you'll find hostel-style accommodations and reasonably priced and traditionally decorated hotels, as well as bed and breakfasts and inns with views overlooking the sea. Though often the most affordable, accommodations in the old city can be very overrun with tourists and street solicitors. If you seek a more relaxed stay, consider lodging near Taksim Square. This new, trendy neighborhood is a short 15-20 minute ride from the old city, but puts you closer to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Though the newer area of the city is a bit more upscale, you'll also find moderately priced hotels and some hostels. Look for luxury hotels in the western suburbs close to the airport, overlooking the banks of Bosphorus.
