  • Very fine 5 star Duty Free Stores at Istanbul Airport. This Istanbul airport has multiple Duty free stores upon arrival. The stores carry different types of Turkish delight sweets and Turkish liquor Raki and other imported brands of liquor. The staff is very helpful in explaining Turkish origin products and the check out process is fast and easy.
  • bought 2 bottles of liqueur for first time from an unifree dutyfree on 25 th sept at istanbul duty free which they didnt seal nor the person on counter informed that the same needs to sealed in case you travelling via liquor prohibited country even though they are aware of the laws and the same was confiscated at kuwait intransit becase the bottles were not sealed and the reply i get from there customer care on writing the mail is that you should have read the FAQs on there website before purchasing the alcohol , would never recommend this duty free anyone god knows where you might get stuck
  • The staff walk around doing their best to avoid a customer like an antelope escaping the lions. And if you corner them and make it unmistakable that you would like to get their council on the highly specialised and pricey products they seem to lose their otherwise so chatty attitude and play dumb short of pretending to have hearing problems. Paying, the cashier had a very hard time stretching out to grab the products in front of them, it must have been a case of advanced arthritis - what a shame at such early age. It all culminated in showing one amount on the cashier screen and a significantly higher on on the card payment pad - bringing attention to this curiosity resulted in the valid explanation that it's the obvious commission that take to convert euros to ... euros. Asking to convert it to turkish lyra (as far as I know the local currency ) it miraculously shaved off 10% if the price. Quite an experience and quite the opposite if what we learned about turkish in our sojourn here.
  • well organize good collection however prices are on the upper edge better to buy in euro not turkish lira
  • Stupid place.its so huge to the extend no one can help u. Then afetr 15 min a girl came and she didnt know anything about the products i wanted and she spoke poor english. I went with my wallet and bordingpass yet the guy insestisted i shd give my passport which i left with my husband in my bag coz i wanted to shop freely. I didnt buy what i needed due to stupid policy they have. Absloute shame.
