It offers connections to Japan from Italy. Transit 7 hours.... You can use the euro fine coin is rejected. ... Said 4.1 euros fine, if motamotacite "4 euro do', rather appropriate. Shop open 24 hours, so tsubusemashita time than I thought. Truck ice and 6 euro, funny and looking at buying expensive, but many thanks for performance.

Good range of products but expensive. You can use Euro or credit cards to buy staffs. Not an ideal place for shopping but useful when you're on the go and need to buy something urgently.  more »

Duty Free normal. What's funny is that even at four in the morning we had the impression that he was fifteen hour seen activity there.

  • Even if you don't buy anything, it is interesting only to look around the exotic Turkish-islamic products.
  • Good duty free shop - good choice of cosmetics, including exclusive fragrances and skin care. Price is not higher than other duty frees of Europe. Tobaco (wide choice of sigarets) are much cheaper than in European Duty frees.
  • I got terrible experiences of buying alcoholic drink at there. The seller did not seal it as liquor hand carry on flight and when I have to transit my flight to Kuwait the customs forced me to leave all alcoholic drink which I carry.....
  • Nice airport with many lounges. But, very poor treatment of international passengers travelling to Libya via Istanbul. They had made many of my colleagues wait for days without any clue on what is happening around, without any news about flight departures or visa updates.
  • Good selection of sweets, perfumes, nuts, comfy food, cosmetics etc available. Fairly well laid out. Prices are more or less similar to other duty free shops specially when it comes to international brands. Looks busy. International credit cards accepted.

Where to stay in Istanbul

The bustling downtown core of old Istanbul is the popular choice among tourists wanting a short walking distance to the city's biggest attractions. Here you'll find hostel-style accommodations and reasonably priced and traditionally decorated hotels, as well as bed and breakfasts and inns with views overlooking the sea. Though often the most affordable, accommodations in the old city can be very overrun with tourists and street solicitors. If you seek a more relaxed stay, consider lodging near Taksim Square. This new, trendy neighborhood is a short 15-20 minute ride from the old city, but puts you closer to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Though the newer area of the city is a bit more upscale, you'll also find moderately priced hotels and some hostels. Look for luxury hotels in the western suburbs close to the airport, overlooking the banks of Bosphorus.
