  • Careful: the entrance is via Burgas Felek Cd!!! Not the other side. Why anyone would give this one star is beyond me. Whatever you think of politics, especially the motives of the European empires, the fact remains that the men and women buried here died trying to save Turkey from Russian aggression.
  • There's no problem with them lying clean and tidy.

  • The Haydarpasa British Cemetery, located on the upper cross of Haydarpaşa Station in Uskudar Selimiye, was collected for the burial of British soldiers who died in the war by participating in the Crimean War between 1854 and 1856. It is located right next to the military hospital, which was put into service by Britain, an ally of the Ottoman Empire at the time. In addition to the soldiers who died in the Crimean War, british citizens and civilians who died in the First and Second World Wars were also buried in the cemetery. It is the property of the British Consulate General in Istanbul.
