  • don't take advice visit this street. The path itself to this place you will ruin the mood. Funky, filthy uncrowded places. The street could pass by, so it's small, very narrow and neprimechatelnaja. Along the street (no it's not just Street Lane) simply cafes. In Istanbul there are a bunch of areas where cafes cause more desire to go inside.

  • French Street (Fransız Sokağı) in Istanbul is behind the high walls of neprestupnymi and Galatasaray Lycee in Central Beyoglu District (Beyoglu), in walking distance to Taksim Square (Taksim) from the Centre of which runs tourist tram local Arbat is Istiklal Street (Istiklal Caddesi). Fransız Sokağı (French Lane) has a very peculiar architecture and the abundance of purple and bright shades of red and purple. Strong altitude predisposes to terrasovidnoj the structure of local bars and restaurants. Between the headphones and the famous "points" of attraction are local youth and "no name" tiny bistros and bars. Unforgettable atmosphere, the smell of Turkish coffee, live music, international visitors, abstract sculpture and a huge number of pots of flowers will make you slow your stride and enjoy the ecliptic, plaques and an abundance of mirrors on the walls as the streets, and within institutions. Special attention should be paid to the authentic gas.

Where to stay in Istanbul

The bustling downtown core of old Istanbul is the popular choice among tourists wanting a short walking distance to the city's biggest attractions. Here you'll find hostel-style accommodations and reasonably priced and traditionally decorated hotels, as well as bed and breakfasts and inns with views overlooking the sea. Though often the most affordable, accommodations in the old city can be very overrun with tourists and street solicitors. If you seek a more relaxed stay, consider lodging near Taksim Square. This new, trendy neighborhood is a short 15-20 minute ride from the old city, but puts you closer to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Though the newer area of the city is a bit more upscale, you'll also find moderately priced hotels and some hostels. Look for luxury hotels in the western suburbs close to the airport, overlooking the banks of Bosphorus.
