Florya Sahil Parkı, Istanbul

Have fun in the sea and sand at Florya Sahil Parkı. Based in a central location near the airport, the easily accessible beach makes a great place to bide some time before a flight. Work on your tan while watching the sea and the planes take off and land nearby. Showers and dressing rooms are available for use as well, and if you don't want to haul food to the beach, you can pick something up at the food stalls along the sand. Umbrellas and sun loungers are also available. Using our world travel planner, Istanbul attractions like Florya Sahil Parkı can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • The most horrible Beach I've ever visited. You cannot even legs pomochit! All the water in the algae, it is worth the stink, the beach itself is dirty and beaten all the shells. Advertisement type there all there-locker room not climbs down the toilet without a gas mask. Paid 40 lire for two, sat half an hour and took the legs! P.s Contingent-the whole Beach some men who apparently female sex in life is not met. Everything stinks, but it's not straining nor local staff or visitors.

  • The end of the month of November, it's going to rain and sleet fell in the freezing cold. We met with friends that are here to work in Florya and walked to the side a bit harder though Florya Beach. Packed in the summer and only empty beach of stray dogs wander about another interesting and beautiful. We could see the odd sports. In short, this is another good beach in winter.

  • Nice for families. But it needs more cleaning :(
  • Yeah man this is it! The olace is great for fun and motivation had all things there.. Have fun with friends and etc plus the sea view
  • Beautiful park, has sea view, bicycle rental, many playgrounds and fitness areas
  • Nice small park by the shore. Unfortunately it is invaded by barbeque lover locals every weekend which smother the whole park with smoke and crowd. Not to mention it is illegal to burn anything in the park let alone cooking barbeque. It becomes unbearable at times. Local authorities doesn't seem to care at all. So I highly recommend avoiding in the weekends and enjoying in the weekdays.

Where to stay in Istanbul

The bustling downtown core of old Istanbul is the popular choice among tourists wanting a short walking distance to the city's biggest attractions. Here you'll find hostel-style accommodations and reasonably priced and traditionally decorated hotels, as well as bed and breakfasts and inns with views overlooking the sea. Though often the most affordable, accommodations in the old city can be very overrun with tourists and street solicitors. If you seek a more relaxed stay, consider lodging near Taksim Square. This new, trendy neighborhood is a short 15-20 minute ride from the old city, but puts you closer to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Though the newer area of the city is a bit more upscale, you'll also find moderately priced hotels and some hostels. Look for luxury hotels in the western suburbs close to the airport, overlooking the banks of Bosphorus.
