  • Awesome, beautiful both inside and outside the mosque, which is located far enough from the main Istanbul dostoprimečatelostej (in the Fatih district). Actually deserves attention and the area where real rages, instead of tourist life.

  • Fatih Mosque. Fatih Camii is one of the biggest mosques of Istanbul, located in the European part of the city in the District of Fatih. Built in the year 1470 in place Byzantine Church of the Holy Apostles. There is a cemetery in the mosque yard, here lies in the mausoleum of the Ottoman Sultan, the Conqueror of Constantinople — Mehmed II. -Conqueror. His tomb is one of the most important urban shrines. There are no tourists here. But the visitors seemed are friendly. Of course, you have to respect and abide by the rules of the believers visit mosques. Nobody will stop you, and most likely will help and prompt. Very much information about this mosque and the Istanbul you can find online. The Interior of the Fatih Mosque is essentially a copy of the earlier development Atika Sinan. The central dome with a diameter of 26 metres support four polukupola with large marble columns. poor white tiles of the mosque Fatih is not in no comparison with iznikskoj ceramics (in English) of the magnificence of the buildings such as the Rüstem Pasha Mosque. Recommend for people curious and tolerant in religious matters.
