The Pertevniyal Valide Sultan Mosque, also known as the Aksaray Valide Mosque, is an Ottoman imperial mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located at the intersection of Ordu Street and Atatürk Boulevard in the Aksaray neighborhood. It is located next to Pertevniyal High School which was also built by the order of Sultana Pertevniyal in 1872.
One of the last mosques built in Istanbul during the Ottoman Empire, the Pertevniyal Valide Sultan Mosque was built for the Sultana Pertevniyal, wife of Sultan Mahmud II and mother of Sultan Abdülaziz. It was designed by the Italian architect Montani. The construction work began in November 1869, and the mosque was finished in 1871.
The building is an example of Turkish Rococo with admixture of classical Turkish, Gothic, Renaissance, and Empire styles. It is rather unique in the details of the rock work.

  • It's an ace house. On his way to the Sultan of Eyup, the beach side, the poor are given food. There's a school. There are artifacts. It's historical texture, but it's an ace house service. It can be helped with the receipt.

  • I saw this mosque wandering around the little water pavilion. I did some research on this mosque while i was relaxing in his cage after touring the pavilion. In the 1750s, Sultan II. It was built by Mustafa's wife. After several restorations, it was used as a public house during the republican period and then abandoned to its fate.In 2013 it was rebuilt by the beykoz municipality in accordance with its original form. As part of the efforts to regulate the location of the Kucuksu promenade. It's a lovely mosque. It's immaculate. It is not inconceivable that this area, namely the polluting of the small water, the promenade was turned into a slaughterhouse, that a historical mosque was demolished according to the eye. I think that the way such a beautiful part of the Strait has become this, the mind-boggling of past administrations, the people. Make sure you come here. Visit both the pavilion and this mosque and the Anatolian fortress and enjoy the bosphorus.
