  • It is a rocky at the end of the Valley of Ihlara, 28 km from Aksarai. It was the home of the Hittite, Assyrian, Persian, Roman, Byzantine, civilizations even in the Ottomans. One of the most important aspects of Selime was that many leading clerics were educated there. It also functioned as a headquarters military region. The representations include the Ascension, the Annunciation and mother Mary. It is the largest religious building in Cappadocia with a size Church Cathedral type. And inside there are two rows of columns of rock, that impress.
