  • Orient Bazar is Nice place for purchasing Carpets & Souvenirs but one has to bargain for getting good price!!  more »
  • Jewelry shop and traditional carpet in one of the main streets of Goreme, behind the otogar (beside Göreme Restaurant and Maydonose coffee). Fine selection of silver jewelry and semi-precious stones, ideal for presents light and compact! We fell for the turquoise... The carpets were beautiful also, Mehmet, the owner who speaks french introduced us different types made by craftsmen in the area. We'll be back to buy the carpet! There are also pipes in foam of sea, native rock of Anatolia (Eskişehir, West of the Turkey), some pottery and various objects of antiquarian or the charm of the region. We liked reception and display of prices that avoids the haggling... We highly recommend a visit to East Bazaar!

  • An amazing experience in every way! After some terrible experiences in other carpet shops (in Istanbul) with aggressive shop owners that try to show you five or six rugs then start a hard-sell, Mr. Mehmet (the owner of the shop) welcomes you with his warm hospitality. You can see various things like silver jewelries, antique stuffs etc. not only carpets. And one of the important things is all prices are written on the stuffs. You can check the prices by yourself freely. Even if you don't have in mind to buy something, just go to see this shop and meet that trustworthy and friendly person, Mr. John ... He will host you like feeling friend and you wont feel you are a tourist.
