  • Pigeon valley is a wonderful place to walk through. You can't get lost as there are no alternative paths. Wear good shoes and light clothing (if coming in the warmer seasons)! It was interesting to see the holes in the rocks where in days gone past the pigeons would nest. Their droppings would be collected and spread over the very fertile ground around this area. Not used too much these days.
  • So unic, beautiful landscape! With soft light colours. Sights into distances, where the snow-covered Mount Erciyes is shimmering. Surely one of the best views in Cappadocia. Splended hiking trails on the valleys from Göreme to Uchisar, worth while experiencing! You can't help seeing a Rock Castle in near distance on the hill. Go and visit the castle! Services as cafe and souvenirs available.
  • A wonderful valley to walk from uchisar to Göreme...
  • A quick beautiful view in Goreme.
  • Have a lot of pigeon in here. Also have one gift shop.

Where to stay in Goreme

As a popular tourist destination, Göreme offers plenty of accommodations, many appropriately "cave-themed." Options range from hostels and guesthouses to mid-market and upscale hotels. If you're feeling adventurous, opt to sleep in a cave here. The level of luxury varies among cave rooms, but you can expect them to be quite humid and damp. Just outside of the main attraction of cave churches and away from the volume of visitors in the Cappadocia area, you'll find boutique hotels as well as budget accommodations and hostels. Practice your bargaining skills in advance, and you're sure to land a better deal. Be aware that theft has been reported in Goreme and the surrounding areas, so lock your hotel doors and windows.
