Tlos, Fethiye

(4.6/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Now in ruins, Tlos once served as the bustling urban center of ancient Lycia. According to legend, this site was home of the hero Bellerophon. One of the city's rock tombs allegedly belongs to him and bears a relief portraying the hero riding his famous horse, Pegasus. After the Lycians, the Romans took over the city, building a stadium and an amphitheatre whose remains you can still see. You can also view monuments of Byzantine and Ottoman architecture. The site is quite large and hilly, and a thorough exploration requires a bit of hiking over uneven terrain, so be sure to bring adequate footwear. Put Tlos at the forefront of your travel plans using our Fethiye travel itinerary planner.

  • Excavations in the ancient city of new pressure cooker I watch that smile. The Museum Card. The ancient city's aunt, surrounding the tiny jars of Pearl oil and fats should be necessarily different. In addition, aunts had collected their own olive oil, and you'll understand immediately the difference thyme, Sage and fresh fruit from the Super doğallıkta without getting on your way.

  • taking advantage of a day trip organised by the Greek resort we reached the Turkish coast with a catamaran and spent a day touring this "ghost town" which I remember the ghostliness but also the charm, it's worth a few words with the residents (or merchants)

  • A place that holds diverse historical events.
  • Super view on top! Highly recommend this place!
  • Everyone should visit this place - I went from the resort of Olu Deniz but it is also accessible from Patara, kas etc. The Lycian tombs at the top of the hill are a struggle to reach but worth it.
  • Fantastic scenery very friendly people
  • Looked good from the jeep safari. Prominent position in the hillside with tombs cut into the face of the cliff.
